ILO Director-General visits Turkey

GUY RYDER VISITS TURKEYILO Director-General Guy Ryder, accompanied by a high level delegation from the ILO, paid a visit to Turkey on 1-5 September 2015, also marking a first highest level visit by an ILO Director-General to Ankara in 22 years.

Ryder participated in the G20 Labour and Employment Ministers’ Meeting as well as the Joint Meeting of G20 Finance and Labour Ministers on 3-4 September 2015.

The Director-General also undertook consultations with the tripartite constituents of the ILO; government, employers’ and workers’ representatives, to exchange views and discuss recent developments and challenges on world of work both in Turkey and at the global level.
