TAGEM and UNIDO Organized Information Meetings in Seven Provinces

Informative meetings were held between 17 April to 24 May in seven provinces as Ankara, Samsun, Tekirdag, Adana, Ankara, Balikesir and Izmir within The Sustainable Use of Biomass In Order To Support Turkey’s Green Economic Growth Project which is jointly implemented by Agricultural Research and Policy General Directorate (TAGEM) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF).

In Informative meetings, development process of The Sustainable Use of Biomass In Order To Support Turkey’s Green Economic Growth Project’s was presented and the impact of the project on carbon reductions globally and locally was emphasized. National Expert Dr.Figen AR presented the project and gave detailed information about the objectives and principles of the calls for biomass pilot plants and logistics for the plants. Within the framework of the project, applications for calls for the support of modern bioenergy projects and the establishment of a pilot plant and supply chain can be submitted on 09 April 2019 – 19 July 2019.
